Aspen Ladd first began training in combat sports as young as fourteen years old. She studied boxing, kickboxing as well as wrestling, before making her first appearance in amateur competition at WCFC before Jaimee Nievera. Ladd gained momentum from this victory and went on a 3-fight winning streak at Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents in the opening round in all the fights. Ladd recovered from this loss and defeated Roma Pawelek, taking her record to eight-one. Aspen became a professional in 2015. She signed up with Invicta FC and made her debut. Aspen fought Ana Carolina Vidal at Invicta FC 11, where she dominated her to secure a first-round TKO. Invicta took on her in the Bantamweight division and was victorious via submission armbar in the second round. Aspen utilized her superior wrestling skills to beat McGill in the third round via TKO. Aspen then went on to take on Jessica Hoy for Invicta FC18 in a catchweight of 138.1lb. Ladd was not capable of achieving the weight however Aspen won and beat Hoy with a TKO. As for her final fight for the promotion, she defeated Sijara Eubanks in a unanimous decision at Invicta FC 21. Aspen Ladd was the first UFC fighter to make her debut. She took on Linalansberg in UFC Fight Night 118. She dominated Lina and ground-and-pounded her in the second round to secure a TKO victory. She continued to dominate and got a bigger win when she fought Tonya Evinger. UFC 229 Ladd beat Evinger within the first minute and received a bonus for her performance on the evening. Her first fight of note came during her subsequent fight in UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against. Lee against Sijara Eubanks in an Invicta FC rematch. The two fighters had an intense fight which Ladd won by unanimous decision. The two fighters each received their Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie took 16 seconds to stop Ladd and her winning streak. in the 3rd round on UFC in ESPN 7, she defeated Yana Kunitskaya. For a rematch, she fought Norma Dumont in her most recent UFC fight. It was a loss by unanimous decision.
