Although this role brought the actress great attention but she was still adamant that the image about Mary Camden being a nice woman would limit her abilities as a performer. To alter the perception, she appeared as a model on Gear cover, partially clothed. Jessica's behavior caused a lot of fan furore. Jessica resigned from the TV show 7th Heaven after performing in its sixth season. Her acclaimed performance as a teenager Casey Jackson in the film Ulee's Gold brought her instant recognition. The film even awarded her the title of best supporting young actress award for this movie. Summer Catch, a comedy movie that she starred in was a testament to her talent as an actor. While she did give a stellar appearance, Rules of Attraction didn't receive much attention. The public was then drawn to her performance on The Texas Chainshaw Massacre. She also has experience in thriller and suspense films.
